GIU Earns Premier Accreditation from MACCA, Strengthening Its Global Academic Standing

Graham International University (GIU) is proud to announce that it has been awarded Premier Accreditation by the Mercosul Accreditation Agency (MACCA), further solidifying its position as a globally respected institution committed to academic excellence and international quality assurance.

MACCA is a prestigious private accrediting agency recognized by national education ministries in Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Palau. It is affiliated with several leading global quality assurance organizations, including the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), and the International Accreditation and Recognition Council (IARC/IARC Europe). MACCA’s accreditation process is rooted in internationally accepted standards and recognized by globally certified professional bodies such as the International Board of Standards (IBS), the Global Academy of Finance & Management (GAFM), and the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM).

This accreditation milestone enhances the professional relevance and international recognition of GIU’s academic programs. Because of MACCA’s mutual recognition agreements, GIU graduates holding MACCA-accredited qualifications meet the eligibility requirements for certifications offered by GAFM and AAPM—without the need for additional examinations. These certifications are issued by bodies certified under ISO 9001, ISO 21001, and ISO 29993, further reinforcing the credibility of GIU’s academic framework.

Prior to this new achievement, GIU had already earned accreditation from several esteemed bodies, including the Independent Institute of Accreditation, Rating, and Certification (IARC), the Accreditation and Rating International Agency (ARIA), the International Association for Quality Assurance for Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE), the E-Learning Quality Network (ELQN), and the Graham International Education Accreditation Agency (GIEAA).
