GIU no longer offers Honorary Degrees through public application or nomination. Such awards are granted only exceptionally, at GIU’s discretion, and without any fee, to individuals who have made significant contributions to GIU’s mission.

Honorary Doctorate

Honorary Doctorate is a prestigious recognition that honors individuals with exceptional accomplishments in areas such as leadership, humanitarian efforts, innovation, or scholarship.

Recipients may use the title “Dr,” provided it is clearly indicated as Honoris causa (h.c.), distinguishing it from an academic doctorate. For example, Dr. Maria Gonzalez (Hon. DBA).
