Graham International University (GIU) is pleased to announce the conferment of the Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Hon. Ph.D.) in Artificial Intelligence upon Dr. (Hon.) Soumya Ranjan Jena. The prestigious recognition celebrates Dr. Jena’s outstanding contributions to the field of artificial intelligence (AI), spanning research, innovation, teaching, and authorship.

Currently serving as Assistant Professor at the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, NIMS University, Jaipur, Dr. Jena is also a Designated Partner at SRJX Research and Innovation Lab LLP. With over a decade of academic and research experience, he has emerged as a leading voice in AI, Edge Computing, Green Technologies, and Smart Energy Systems.

Dr. Jena’s remarkable academic portfolio includes authorship of over 30 international books and numerous research publications in SCIE, Scopus, and Web of Science-indexed journals. He holds 30+ patents and copyrights across India, Germany, the UK, South Africa, and Australia, including innovations in AI-based traffic systems, cyber security, and green cloud computing.

GIU’s conferral of this honorary doctorate underscores the global relevance of his work in advancing AI for social and environmental sustainability. In addition to his academic and research endeavors, Dr. Jena is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at NextGen University International, USA, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur.

Dr. Jena has received multiple accolades including the Bharat Education Excellence Award, Gurukul Best Researcher Award, AMP Awards for Educational Excellence, and the Global Innovative Leader Award 2025.
