To be eligible for an Honorary Professorship at GIU, candidates must meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Outstanding Contributions to Academia: A significant body of work in research, teaching, or academic leadership, demonstrating innovation and excellence.
  • Exceptional Professional Achievements: Recognized accomplishments in business, entrepreneurship, science, arts, humanities, technology, or other industries.
  • Influence in Education and Knowledge Dissemination: Contributions to the development of education through mentorship, publications, public speaking, or curriculum development.
  • Commitment to Social Impact and Community Development: A proven record of advocacy, philanthropy, or initiatives that promote social progress, equity, and inclusion.
  • Leadership in Global or National Organizations: Holding prominent leadership roles in institutions that contribute to policy-making, education, or economic development.
  • Collaboration with GIU or Other Educational Institutions: Direct involvement in projects, research, or partnerships that align with GIU’s mission and values.
Process
  • Nominate yourself or someone else through the application form below.
  • Our Honorary Awards Committee will review your application and get back to you within 7 working days.
  • If your application is approved, we will require you to make a one-time payment of $550 $350 (USD) via Stripe or PayPal to support the university’s development.
  • We will send the soft copy of the award within 3-4 days upon confirming the payment. To receive the hard copy of the award, an additional $100 shipping fee applies
