GIU Appoints Prof. Adamu Zegeye Hadis as Affiliated Professor & Advisor
Graham International University (GIU) proudly announces the appointment of Prof. Adamu Zegeye Hadis as an Affiliated Professor & Chemical and Biological Engineering Advisor, marking a significant step forward in the university’s efforts to strengthen its academic and research capabilities in agro-processing and food engineering sectors.
Prof. Hadis brings with him more than three decades of distinguished academic, research, and consultancy experience in food process engineering and agro-industrial development. Having served as Associate Professor at top-tier Ethiopian institutions, including Addis Ababa University, Haramaya University, and Ambo University, Prof. Hadis has played a vital role in shaping Ethiopia’s higher education in food engineering. He holds an MSc in Food Engineering from Moscow State University and a Doctorate in Religious Education (DRE) from India. Over the years, he has been a mentor to numerous BSc, MSc, and PhD students, supervising more than 30 master’s and six doctoral dissertations.
As an educator and researcher, Prof. Hadis has made significant contributions through over 20 published research articles in internationally recognized journals indexed by SCOPUS, Web of Science, and Agricola. His research areas span the processing of fruits, vegetables, cereals, legumes, meat, dairy, and honey, aligning well with GIU’s emphasis on sustainable agro-industrial innovation.
In his new role at GIU, Prof. Hadis will advise the department of Chemical and Biological Engineering on curriculum development, research priorities, and academic strategy. His appointment is expected to reinforce the department’s capacity to engage in impactful research and foster academic excellence. Prof. Hadis advisory role will also support GIU’s strategic objectives in linking industry and academia. His deep experience in both education and consultancy will be invaluable, especially as GIU continues to expand its programs and forge international collaborations.
