
GIU Appoints Dr. Darryl D. Thomas as Affiliated Professor & DBA Student Advisor
Graham International University (GIU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Darryl D. Thomas as an Affiliated Professor and Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) Student Advisor, further strengthening the university’s commitment to academic excellence, mentorship, and practical leadership development.
Dr. Thomas brings a diverse professional background that spans education, criminal justice, institutional leadership, and faith-based mentoring. He currently serves as an educator with the Federal Bureau of Prisons Career Connections program in Memphis, Tennessee, where he develops and delivers instructional programs designed to equip incarcerated adults with literacy skills, career readiness, and life strategies for successful reintegration into society.
Prior to this role, Dr. Thomas served as a secondary school teacher specializing in law and public safety, teaching courses such as criminal law, law enforcement, emergency management, and crime scene investigation. His professional experience also includes roles within the federal correctional system and university communications, giving him valuable insights into both public service and higher education.
Dr. Thomas holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Criminal Justice and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northcentral University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Mississippi. In addition to his academic and professional work, he is a published author of several books focused on Christian mission, discipleship, and spiritual development.
At GIU, Dr. Thomas will contribute to teaching, academic mentorship, and the supervision and guidance of D.B.A. students. His experience in research, education, and leadership development will play a key role in supporting doctoral candidates as they pursue impactful research and professional growth.
