
GIU Announces Dr. Tony Bell’s Appointment as Affiliated Professor & Doctoral Student Advisor
Graham International University (GIU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tony Bell as Affiliated Professor and Student Advisor for the University’s Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Phil.D.) programs.
Dr. Bell brings more than two decades of distinguished experience in psychology, counseling, behavioral health, higher education, research, and student development. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching, mentorship, academic excellence, and community engagement.
Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor of Psychology at Columbia College and the College of Coastal Georgia, Dr. Bell has extensive experience teaching undergraduate psychology courses and contributing to research evaluation, training, and academic development. His professional background also includes years of service as a prevention counselor and behavioral health professional, where he supported students and families through assessment, counseling, and educational intervention programs.
Dr. Bell earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychology from Capella University and holds advanced graduate degrees in Psychology, Counseling, and International Relations. His academic and professional accomplishments reflect a deep understanding of psychological science, research methodology, student support, and higher education leadership.
In his new role at GIU, Dr. Bell will provide academic guidance, mentorship, and dissertation support to doctoral students, helping them navigate their scholarly and professional development. His appointment further strengthens GIU’s commitment to providing students with access to experienced faculty and advisors who are dedicated to fostering academic success and research excellence.
