Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Comparative Psychology
Our Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Comparative Psychology examines the evolution of behaviors across species, focusing on animal cognition, mating behaviors, and parenting strategies. Students will explore how genetic and environmental factors shape animal behavior and how these behaviors can inform our understanding of human psychology. The program includes research training in comparative behavioral analysis, culminating in a dissertation that contributes to the study of animal behavior. Graduates will be prepared for careers in research, wildlife conservation, and academia, where they can study and promote animal welfare or explore the evolutionary roots of human behavior.
