Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Nuclear Physics
Our Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Nuclear Physics offers a deep dive into the structure, behavior, and interaction of atomic nuclei. The curriculum includes nuclear force dynamics, radioactive decay processes, advanced nuclear models, particle accelerators, and applications in both energy production and medical technologies. Students are encouraged to explore cutting-edge areas such as Higgs physics and quantum field interactions, supported by foundational training in Feynman calculus and research methodologies. Beyond technical coursework, students complete structured modules in scientific writing, public and private law, and science communication to prepare for diverse professional contexts. The dissertation journey provides hands-on research opportunities in national laboratories, academic institutions, or industry settings. Graduates of the program are equipped for high-level careers in nuclear energy policy, medical isotope development, defense research, or theoretical nuclear physics, contributing to innovations that impact energy security and scientific discovery.
