GIU Achieves CONIES Accreditation & Membership, Enhancing Global Recognition
Graham International University (GIU) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded both Programme Accreditation and Affiliate Membership status by the Council on International Higher Education Supervision Board of Accreditation (CONIES). This milestone, effective from 22 April 2026, underscores the University’s continued commitment to advancing quality, credibility, and global standards in postgraduate education.
The ‘Programme‘ Accreditation confirms that GIU’s postgraduate offerings—spanning EQF Level 7 (Master’s) and EQF Level 8 (Doctoral) programs—meet the rigorous standards established by CONIES-ICHE for transnational and collaborative higher education. The accreditation covers both standalone and jointly delivered programs, including online and distance learning provisions. This recognition affirms the academic integrity, structure, and international relevance of GIU’s postgraduate portfolio.
In addition, GIU has been granted Affiliate Membership within the CONIES-ICHE Board of Accreditation, reflecting its role as a recognized provider of international academic qualifications in transnational education.

CONIES-ICHE, established in 2012, is dedicated to enhancing quality assurance systems and harmonizing curriculum standards across universities globally. Its framework aligns with internationally recognized standards such as ISO 21001:2018 and ISO 29993:2017, and it is affiliated with respected global quality networks including International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN).
This latest achievement builds upon GIU’s existing accreditations from leading international bodies, including the European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS), the Public Foundation “Independent Institute of Accreditation, Rating, and Certification” (IARC), the Mercosul Accreditation Agency (MACCA), the Accreditation and Rating International Agency (ARIA), and the Graham International Education Accreditation Agency (GIEAA).
With this recognition, GIU further strengthens its position as a globally oriented institution committed to excellence in postgraduate education, innovation in online learning, and adherence to internationally benchmarked quality assurance standards.
