GIU Awards Robert Boucher an Honorary Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology
Graham International University (GIU) proudly congratulates Robert Boucher of Canada on the conferral of the Honorary Bachelor of Science (Hon.B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, awarded on June 18, 2026.
This distinguished honorary degree recognizes Mr. Boucher’s decades of hands-on experience, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to the mechanical engineering and industrial service sectors. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional practical knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to supporting industry through skilled workmanship and technical problem-solving.
Currently serving as an Administrative Assistant at DTC Industrial Sales Limited, Mr. Boucher plays a vital role in daily operations by preparing invoices and packing lists, coordinating deliveries, assembling and testing industrial and hydraulic hoses, threading industrial pipes, operating forklifts and machining equipment, and ensuring products meet high standards of quality and performance.
Prior to this role, Mr. Boucher gained valuable agricultural experience as a Farm Worker at Double Diamond Farms, where he contributed to planting, harvesting, pruning, and packing produce. He also successfully operated RB’s Repair and Supply, providing hydraulic repair services and technical expertise, while previously serving as a Hydraulic Technician at Central Belts & Hoses Ltd. His extensive background includes hydraulic hose rebuilding, welding, industrial pipe threading, customer service, and identifying industrial fittings and components.
A graduate of Old Harbour High School, Mr. Boucher also earned qualifications in Electrical Installation and English through the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). His broad skill set—including welding, electrical installation, forklift operation, customer service, and industrial assembly—reflects a lifelong commitment to technical excellence and continuous learning.
